RESEARCH OFFICER/PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR IN THE CENTRE FOR HISTORY AND ECONOMICS

Applications are invited for a part-time Research Officer/Project Co-ordinator at the Centre for History and Economics based at King's College, for work in connection with the Centre's research programme on coexistence, religion, and the political imagination. The programme will involve activities over the period 2004-07 and the participants in the programme are based at different universities, in the UK and elsewhere. Applicants should have historical training and active research interests of relevance to the project, and have proven research and administrative skills to assist the principal investigators of the programme in Cambridge. Internet, word-processing, and organizational skills will be required. It is envisaged that the person appointed will work part time, possibly varying the weekly input to meet the demands of the project and the project activities. The appointment will be for a fixed term of three years, with a probationary period of three months. The annual salary will be attached to the University Stipend Scale 6 (JRO1) £18,265 (pro rata). The position is pensionable and the annual holiday entitlement is 28 days.
