Gonville and Caius College

Gonville and Caius College invites applications for a College Lectureship in History. Applications are welcome from individuals in any area taught within the Cambridge Historical Tripos.

The successful candidate will be required to teach at the undergraduate level for six hours a week if they hold a post in the University or ten hours a week otherwise. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal for a further two years and thereafter reappointment to the retiring age. The annual stipend of a College Lecturer who does not hold a University or other office is currently on a scale of £22,598 to £30,047 a year if non-resident in College and £20,446 to £27,895 a year if resident in College.

It is intended that the person appointed will take up the lectureship either immediately upon appointment or on a date to be agreed before 1 October 2005.
