Professorship of Information Engineering: Notice

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Information Engineering invite applications from candidates whose research falls within the field of Cognitive Systems Engineering, broadly interpreted as the study of natural or artificial information processing systems, including those responsible for perception, learning, reasoning, decision-making, communication, and action. It is hoped that the successful candidate will take up appointment on 1 September 2005 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Professor will be expected to contribute to the development of teaching and research in the Department. There will also be strong encouragement to foster links with other Faculties and Departments in the area of Neuroscience and related disciplines.
