Pembroke College

DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE MUSIC

Pembroke College wishes to appoint a Director of College Music from January 2005, or as soon thereafter as possible. Pembroke has a strong tradition of participatory music based on its Chapel Choir, its two Organ Scholars, its fine Chapel Organ, and an active College Music Society. The Directorship of Music is a new and exciting post, established as a result of a generous benefaction in order to maintain and further develop both the secular and the religious musical life of the College. It will involve an average commitment of 12 hours a week, and carries membership of the College's senior Parlour and other privileges. The salary will be in the range of £10,000 to £12,000 a year.

Further particulars are available on the College website at http://www.pem.cam.ac.uk/jobs, and from the Senior Tutor's Secretary, Pembroke College, Cambridge, CB2 1RF (e-mail sally.clowes@pem.cam.ac.uk), to whom applications and the names of two referees should be sent by noon on 19 November. Interviews will be held in College on 4 December.
