In their Notice of 19 July 2004 (Reporter, 2003-04, p. 958), the Council announced that they had invited Professor W. R. Cornish, as the lead author of the draft regulations in the above Report, and Professor I. M. Leslie, as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), to consider the suggestions and comments made at the Discussion of the Report on Tuesday, 11 May and 18 May (see Reporter, 2003-04, p. 738). They were invited to prepare revised regulations to govern the ownership of IPR in the University. The Council expected to receive the revised proposals early in the Michaelmas Term, but have now agreed that a Report should not be put before the University until after actions resulting from the review of the Research Services Division, in particular new arrangements for Cambridge Enterprise, can be put before the University. It is now intended that the Report will be published in the Lent Term 2005.
