HELEN BROCK RESEARCH AWARD

The Master and Fellows of Selwyn seek to make an award in memory of Dr Helen Brock. The award is intended to assist research in one of the following fields: the history of medicine; the history of libraries, museums or great collections; the history of natural history.

The value of the award will be not less than £1,000 and not more than £1,250. Applications are invited from holders of teaching, research, or academically related posts in the University, and from holders of Cambridge degrees whether resident in the University or not. Applicants registered for postgraduate degrees will be considered only in cases of exceptional need. There is no age limit.

Applications, which should include a curriculum vitae, a brief description of the applicant's proposed project, an estimate of expenses likely to be incurred, details of other sources of funding to which application has been made, and the names of two referees (one of whom should, if possible, be familiar with the applicant's intended field of research), should reach the Master of Selwyn no later than 31 January 2005. There is no application form.
