FIRST BURSAR

Applications are invited for the post of First Bursar to take office in the Michaelmas Term 2004 or as soon as possible thereafter. The First Bursar is the principal financial and administrative officer of the College and has responsibility to ensure it has a secure financial base from which to pursue its educational purpose. It shall be the duty of the First Bursar, under the supervision of the Council and Governing Body, to supervise the Bursary, to manage the finances and investments of the College, and to oversee its administration.

The successful candidate will be elected a Fellow of the College during the tenure of the office. The salary will be up to £80,000 plus a benefits package.

There is no application form. Candidates should write, enclosing a curriculum vitae and the names of three referees, by 24 September to the Provost, King's College, Cambridge, CB2 1ST.
