The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that Sir Keith Thomas, FBA, Litt.D. (Hon), President of the British Academy, 1993-97, will give a Leslie Stephen Special Lecture to mark the launch of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. The Lecture will be entitled Changing conceptions of National Biography: the Oxford DNB in historical perspective. It will be given at 5 p.m. on 1 October 2004 in the Senate-House, and is open to members of the University and to the public.
