(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 459)
A new option has been introduced for this examination for candidates who already have a substantial background in archaeology. The regulations have been amended as follows:
Regulation 1.
By inserting in line 2 after the words 'or Option B' the words 'or Option C' and by inserting the following section for Option C:
(i) | a thesis, of not more than 15,000 words in length, including footnotes and appendices, but excluding bibliography, on a topic approved by the Degree Committee for the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropology; |
and | |
(ii) | three essays or projects, each of not more than 4,000 words in length, on subjects relating to archaeological research design chosen by the candidate in consultation with his/her supervisor; |
and | |
(iii) | the presentation of a research seminar on the topic of the candidate's thesis research; |
and | |
(iv) | one workbook of assessment of materials on research methods on topics announced by the Degree Committee. |
