PROFESSORSHIP OF CRIMINOLOGY

Applications are invited for the above post, tenable from 1 October 2005 (or earlier by agreement). The Professorship will be based in the Faculty of Law's internationally recognized Centre for Criminological Research. The Professor will be expected to provide research leadership at the Centre, and to contribute to teaching and graduate supervision in criminology. The Professor will be expected to assume the Directorship of the Centre on appointment.

The Professorship will be filled by a criminologist with an outstanding research and publication record, which engages with theory and policy; who has experience of directing empirical research; who has the ability to manage effectively a Centre with diverse research and teaching interests; and who has experience of teaching and of supervising doctoral students.

A non-stipendiary Fellowship at All Souls College is attached to the Professorship.
