The Vice-Chancellor gives notice of the following benefactions to the University, which she has accepted with gratitude:
(a) an offer by Erskine Chambers, a set of Chambers in London, of an annual donation of approximately £1,000 to be divided equally to provide a prize in Company Law in Part II of the Law Tripos and to purchase books for the Squire Law Library;
(b) a benefaction of £35,000 from the Seven Pillars of Wisdom Trust to fund a Studentship in the Faculty of Classics.
The Council are submitting Graces to the Regent House (Graces 2 and 3, pp. 853-4) for the approval of regulations to govern the Prize and the Studentship.
