Manufacturing Engineering Tripos

With effect from 1 October 2005

In order to enable students studying for the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos to take advantage of the student exchange scheme between the University of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the regulations for the Tripos have been amended as follows:

(1) By renumbering Regulation 4 as 5; by inserting in line 1 of this regulation after the words 'Part I of the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos' the words 'or has been deemed to have obtained honours in Part I of the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos under Regulation 4'; and by renumbering Regulations 5-12 as 6-13 respectively;

(2) By inserting the following new Regulation 4:

4. A student who, under arrangements approved by the Faculty Board of Engineering, has spent not less than three terms studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has been certified by the President of the Institute after consultation with the Chairman of Examiners for Part I of the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos to have studied diligently during that period, shall be deemed thereby to have obtained honours in that Part of the Tripos. A list containing the names of persons so qualified shall be certified by the Chairman of the Faculty Board of Engineering and published in the Reporter.
