Materials and Mineral Sciences

The supplementary regulations have been revised to take account of a revised curriculum. The detail has been replaced so as to read:

The written paper will include questions drawn from the following topics: organization of atoms and molecules in condensed matter, elements of structural studies by diffraction, origin and control of microstructure, structure-property relations underpinning mechanical behaviour, structure-property relations in device applications, aspects of biomaterials, response of materials to extreme conditions.
