A day of inaugural lectures by Professors from the Department of Plant Sciences will take place in the Department on 17 June. The day is entitled Plants in focus, and will commence with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alison Richard, to mark the centenary of Plant Sciences on the Downing Site. The inaugural lectures will be followed by a wine reception and poster presentations at 5 p.m. and a barbecue from 6.30 p.m., both at the Botanic Garden.
