Cambridge-MIT Institute: Launch of the Communications Innovation Institute

The Communications Innovation Institute (CII), a Knowledge Integration Community funded by the Cambridge-MIT Institute, will hold a series of formal launch workshops at the Møller Centre, Storey's Way, on 16 and 17 June. This event will feature presentations from project collaborators at Cambridge, MIT, and UCL, and will include the initial meetings of industry-led Working Groups, which are being set up to tackle technological and regulatory problems in the communications industry. Members of the University are very welcome to join academic, industry, and Government participants for the two-day workshop programme, subject to seat availability.

CII exists to promote the overall progress and vitality of the communications industry, and has two principal objectives: to create a better understanding of the communications industry value chain, resulting in roadmaps to possible futures, and the demonstration of new, enabling, and disruptive technologies that have the power to transform the communications sector.

Attendance at the day sessions is free, but will be BY TICKET ONLY due to capacity limitations at the Møller Centre. For additional information please contact Adam Marshall, CMI Industry Programme Officer, 16a Mill Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1SB (tel. 01223 765441, e-mail ajbm2@cam.ac.uk).
