PROFESSORSHIP OF MATHEMATICAL BIOLOGY

Applications are invited for the above new Professorship, tenable from 1 January 2005, or such later date as may be arranged. A non-stipendiary Fellowship at St John's College is attached to the Professorship.

The Professorship of Mathematical Biology is a new chair to be held in the Mathematical Institute at Oxford. The University seeks to appoint a scientist of international distinction who will encourage the pursuit of excellence in this rapidly expanding field through teaching and through his or her own research. It is expected that the new Professor will stimulate new interactions between Mathematics and the Biological and Medical Science Departments at Oxford University. Candidates should have a research record at the highest international level.
