The term of office of the Master of Gonville and Caius College, Mr Neil McKendrick, ends on 30 September 2005. Fellows of the College would welcome enquiries from and suggestions of men and women suitably qualified for the Mastership. The Master presides over the bodies entrusted with the control and management of all the affairs of the College. Candidates should have wide experience of academic life or some other relevant field of activity. They must be capable of providing leadership of a democratic, self-governing institution, and welcome the opportunity of representing and promoting the College to the outside world.
