Balliol College

ARCHIVIST

Balliol College, founded 1263, wishes to appoint a professionally qualified archivist from September or October 2004 on a fixed-term contract of four years. The post could be full time or part time with a minimum of three days a week on average, flexibly distributed. The person appointed will work half the time on the Archives under the supervision of the Fellow-Archivist, and half the time on Library manuscript collections under the supervision of the Fellow-Librarian. The salary will be within Senior Librarian Grades 1-2 (currently £18,265-£27,339), pro rata, according to experience, pensionable, with SCR membership including free lunches on working days.
