Peterhouse

FELLOWSHIP AND COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN MATHEMATICS.

Peterhouse invites applications for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in any area of Mathematics.

The duties will include 120 hours a year of teaching (an average of about six hours a week during the teaching weeks of the year), Direction of Studies, and the interviewing of applicants for undergraduate admission. A Fellow is expected to be engaged in research of a high academic standard. Sabbatical leave may be taken for up to one term in seven.

The minimum salary is £19,413 a year (under review), which it may be possible to enhance by taking on further responsibilities. Other benefits include book, travel, entertainment, and computer allowances, and seven free meals a week at the Common Table. Accommodation, free of charge, is normally provided to Fellows who are single.

The appointment is for five years from 1 October 2004 subject to a probationary review after three years.
