Natural Sciences Tripos (Geology and Geological Sciences)

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 353)

With effect from 1 October 2004

The regulations have been amended to give due attention to the fieldwork undertaken in Geology and Geological Sciences.

Part Ia

Regulation 16(a).

By inserting in line 2 after the words 'records of practical work' the words 'or fieldwork'.

Regulation 16(b).

By removing the subject Geology from sub-paragraph (b)(i) and inserting a new sub-paragraph (b)(iv) so as to read:

(iv)one written paper of three hours, a practical examination, and the submission of note-books containing records of fieldwork:

  Geology

and by inserting in the first line of the following paragraph after the words 'records of practical work' the words 'or fieldwork'.

Regulation 16(c).

By inserting in line 1 of sub-paragraph (c) before the words 'Physiology of Organisms' the words 'Geology or'.

Part Ib

Regulation 21.

By inserting in line 2 after the words 'records of practical work' the words 'or fieldwork' and by moving the subjects Geological Sciences A and Geological Sciences B from sub-paragraph (c)(i) to (c)(ii).

Part II

Regulation 32.

Geological Sciences

By amending the requirements for Geological Sciences by inserting the words 'and fieldwork' after the word 'classwork' in sub-paragraphs (a) and (c) at each occurrence.

Part III

Regulation 35.

Geological Sciences

By amending the requirements for Geological Sciences by inserting the words 'and fieldwork' after the word 'classwork' in sub-paragraph (c) at each occurrence.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

Part Ia and Part Ib

Geology; Geological Sciences A, B

The detail for Geology in Part IA and Geological Sciences A and B in Part IB has been amended by inserting the words 'and on fieldwork' at the end of the sentence in each case.
