Examination in Musicology for the degree of Master of Philosophy

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 481)

With effect from 1 October 2004

The regulations have been amended to allow greater flexibility in the material which is submitted for the examination.

Regulation 1.

By amending sub-paragraph (b) so as to read:
(b)three essays, each of at least 2,500 words, which in total must amount to not more than 12,000 words (including tables, footnotes, and appendices, but excluding bibliography, musical examples, and transcriptions), on subjects approved by the Degree Committee, provided that with the permission of the Degree Committee a candidate may substitute comparable exercises for up to two of these essays.
