Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (General)

With effect from 1 October 2004

The Faculty Board of Biology and the Committee of Management for the Natural Sciences Tripos have agreed that the subjects 'Human Impact on the Environment' and 'Pathology' should no longer be available to candidates for Part II (General). The Faculty Board and the Committee are currently considering further amendments to Part II of the Tripos; in the meantime students who wish to follow a general course in biological subjects should be directed towards Part II of the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos by their Directors of Studies. The regulations for the Natural Sciences Tripos have been amended as follows:

Regulation 9.

By deleting from the list of subjects under Part II (General) the entry for 'Human Impact on the Environment' and 'Pathology'.

Regulation 26.

By deleting from sub-paragraph (a)(ii) the subjects 'Human Impact on the Environment' and 'Pathology'; by deleting sub-paragraph (b)(ii) and renumbering sub-paragraph (b)(iii) accordingly; by removing sub-paragraph (d) and the Schedule attached to that sub-paragraph and by relettering subsequent sub-paragraphs accordingly; and by removing from sub-paragraph (g)(ii) 'Special Subject Pathology' and from sub-paragraph (g)(ix) 'Human Impact on the Environment'.

The supplementary regulation for 'Special Subject Pathology' is rescinded with effect from the same date.
