Dr Paul Warde, of Pembroke College, will give a short talk on Forests, energy, and politics in the early modern German states, and Dr Heidi Scott, of Newnham College, will give a short talk on Landscapes of opportunism in seventeenth-century Peru: the venture of Juan Recio de Leon, at a meeting of the Historical Society at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 17 February, in the Upper Hall, Peterhouse. Prospective members are welcome, and drinks will be served after the meeting.
