VACANCY

The Foundation of Edward Storey

CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND CLERK TO THE TRUSTEES

Applications are invited for a suitably experienced person to act as Chief Executive and to head the administrative, warden, and care teams running the Foundation of Edward Storey (Charity Registration no. 203653), an almshouse charity. The person appointed will succeed the present post-holder, who is retiring in April 2004. The Foundation helps women in need who live in Cambridgeshire or who have been closely involved with the work of the Church of England. It has eight sheltered bungalows at Melbourn in Cambridgeshire, 51 sheltered flats at Mount Pleasant, Cambridge, and a small residential care unit on the same site run on a day-to-day basis by its own Manager. The Charity also makes grants to qualifying beneficiaries.

The Chief Executive reports to the Trustees and is responsible for the efficient and effective running of the Charity in all its aspects, taking a lead on future policy and strategy. A key priority is the residents' quality of life and support for the staff of the Charity and their professional development.

Starting salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, in excess of £30,000 a year. Contributory pension scheme available.

Written applications and a curriculum vitae should be sent to the Chairman of the Trustees, Storey's House, Mount Pleasant, Cambridge, CB3 0BZ, by 23 January, from whom further particulars may be obtained.
