The present Master, Professor Sir Brian Heap, CBE, FRS, completes his term of office on 30 September 2004. Those wishing to be considered for the post or to suggest appropriate names should write in confidence to the Vice-Master, St Edmund's College, Cambridge, CB3 0BN, by 31 January 2004. The College observes the principles of Equal Opportunities. Although the title of 'Master' and the description 'Mastership' is used, applicants do not have to be male to be eligible for the post. The Fellows reserve the right to consider names other than those obtained via this notice.
