The Cambridge Philosophical Society's Inaugural Honorary Fellows Lecture will be given by Dr Sydney Brenner, FRS, CH, on Wednesday, 19 November 2003, at 5.15 p.m in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgewick Site. All who are interested are invited.
A one-day meeting on Fens will be held in the Pippard Lecture Theatre, Cavendish Laboratory, on Monday, 8 December 2003, starting at 9.50 a.m. This will be an interdisciplinary scientific meeting open to all who are interested. The speakers are Dr Peter Friend, Mr Francis Pryor, Mr Brian Eversham, Mr P Bircham, Mr Mike Petty, Dr Laurie Friday, Dr Bryan Wheeler, and Mr Adrain Colston.
Tickets are available in advance from the Executive Secretary, Cambridge Philosophical Society, Bene't Street, Cambridge, CB2 3PY (tel. 01223 334743, e-mail philosoc@hermes.cam.ac.uk) or on the door. The first 120 Fellows of the Society to apply will be offered a free lunch.
