OLGA KENNARD RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP 2004

The Olga Kennard Research Fellowship for research in crystallography or structural molecular biology is designed to be particularly beneficial for women as it includes the possibility of part-time working and additional funds for family support. It is tenable for five years only from 1 October 2004 (with no possibility of renewal) and applicants, who should have a Ph.D. Degree or equivalent research experience, must be citizens of the EU, Norway, Israel, or Switzerland, and have at least three years' postdoctoral experience by that date.

The appointment must be held in a British university or recognized research institute and applicants already holding permanent appointments in such an establishment will not be considered. The salary will be on the academic and academic-related staff (Lecturer A and B) scale (currently £22,191 to £33,679). Annual research expenses (up to a maximum of £13,000 in 2004-05) will be available together with travel expenses and a contribution to baggage costs for successful applicants from overseas.
