Wolfson College

NON-STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Wolfson College invites applications for non-stipendiary Junior Research Fellowships.

The Fellowships, which are without limit of subject, are tenable for one year from 1 October 2004 and renewable up to a maximum tenure of three years.

Candidates should normally be aged not more than 30 years on 1 October 2004, but consideration will be given to persons over this age if they began their research at a significantly later age than usual, or if they have interrupted their careers for family or other reasons. Candidates will either have a doctorate or will have made substantial progress towards a doctorate or an equivalent qualification by October 2004.

Candidates must produce satisfactory evidence that they have adequate financial support for the duration of their Fellowship before they take up their Fellowship. The Fellowships do not cover the cost of bench fees or other University fees or laboratory charges.

Intending candidates should submit fully detailed applications on forms available from the Registrar's Assistant, Wolfson College, Cambridge, CB3 9BB, or downloadable from the Wolfson College website at http://www.wolfson.cam.ac.uk/. The closing date for applications is Monday, 12 January 2004.

Selected candidates will be asked to submit written work. They will be invited to do so by 23 January 2004 and the submission of work will be required by 6 February 2004. Short-listed candidates will be informed by 1 April if they have been selected for a final round of interviews. These interviews will be held on 15 April 2004.
