The Fitzwilliam Museum Syndicate announce that the galleries of the Fitzwilliam Museum will be closed to the public from Monday, 22 December 2003 until Monday, 31 May 2004, inclusive.
This is to enable maintenance work, including relighting, to be carried out before the galleries are rearranged following completion of the Courtyard building. During this period access to the curatorial departments will be provided by appointment, and it is hoped that the Reference Library will be opened to readers during the Lent Term.
