Annual Meetings of the Faculties

Clinical Medicine

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 November 2003, in the Board Room, Addenbrooke's Hospital. The business of the meeting will include a report by the Chairman and the election of members of the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to fill two vacancies in class (c).

In class (c) the two vacancies are to be filled to 31 December 2007 by University officers in the Faculty who are not Professors or Associate Lecturers.

Nominations for these elections, signed by the proposer, who must be a member of the relevant constituency mentioned above, and by the nominee indicating willingness to serve if elected, and notice of any other business should be sent to the Secretary (Box 111), the Clinical School, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 2SP, to reach her not later than noon on Friday, 31 October 2003.

Divinity

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Divinity gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, 20 November 2003, in the Lightfoot Room of the Faculty building on West Road. The main business will be to elect two members in class (c) to serve for four years with effect from 1 January 2004. Annual reports will also be given by the Chairman of the Board and the Director of CARTS. Nominations for these positions and notice of any other business for the meeting should be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Ms Rosalind Paul, Faculty of Divinity, West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9BS, so as to arrive not later than Thursday, 13 November 2003.

Education

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Education gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 13 November 2003, at the Faculty of Education, Shaftesbury Road. The business of the meeting will include the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of one member of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2004, for one year in the first instance, following the resignation of Dr C. Conner.

Nominations for this election, signed by the proposer and seconder and by the nominee indicating willingness to serve if elected, and notice of any other business, should be sent to the Secretary of the Faculty of Education, 17 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA, to reach her no later than Wednesday, 5 November 2003.

Mathematics

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Mathematics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, 20 November 2003, in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Meeting Room 5, Pavilion A. The main item of business will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of four members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2004.

Nominations for these elections should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Mathematics, Faculty Office, Room B1.29, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wilberforce Road, not later than noon on Thursday, 13 November. Nominations should be in writing, should bear the signatures of the proposer and seconder, and should contain a signed statement by the nominee that he/she would consent to serve if elected. Any further items for the agenda should reach the Secretary by the same date.

Oriental Studies

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Oriental Studies gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 November 2003, in Lecture Room 1, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Sidgwick Avenue. Among the business to be transacted will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of two members to serve on the Faculty Board for four years from 1 January 2004.

Nomination forms are available from Mrs F. J. Fisher-Hunt, Faculty Administrator, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Sidgwick Site (tel. 01223 335107, e-mail fjf24@cam.ac.uk). Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, should be returned to the Administrator not later than Tuesday, 4 November 2003, together with notice of any other business.

Physics and Chemistry

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, 14 November 2003, in the Committee Room, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road. The main business will be the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2004.

Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, for which the consent of the candidate must be obtained, should reach the Secretary at the Institute of Astronomy not later than Tuesday, 4 November. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.
