Lucy Cavendish College

FELLOWSHIP AND COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN LAW

Lucy Cavendish College invites applications from women* for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in Law, with effect from 1 January 2004, or as soon as possible thereafter. Lucy Cavendish College admits women of 21 years and over, as undergraduates and graduates. Applications are welcome from candidates with an interest in any field of Law, but the person appointed must be prepared to teach one or more of the following: Constitutional Law, Contract, EEC Law, Equity, International Law, Land Law, Tort.

The appointment will be for three years in the first instance with the possibility of renewal for periods of five years at a time, and is subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the College which include residence requirements.

The stipend of the College Lecturer, which is pensionable under USS, will be at a point on a scale beginning at £22,191 (UAL scale) depending on age and experience.

It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that their referees have written directly to the College (on the appropriate form) by the closing date. * By the Employment Act 1989, the College has exemption from the provisions of the Sex Discrimination Act, 1975, with regard to gender.
