AWARDS BY OUTSIDE BODIES

Mark Quested Exhibition

The Mark Quested Exhibition, awarded by the Fishmongers' Company of the City of London, is offered alternately to a graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. The Exhibition, which is of a yearly value of £1,000, is tenable for two years and will be available to a graduate student of the University of Cambridge from October 2003. It is tenable by a student in need and deserving of pecuniary assistance, who shall at the date of the exhibition be not more than 30 years of age and shall during his tenure thereof be bona fide and diligently engaged in the University in some course of useful study or research approved in writing by the Vice-Chancellor.

Applications should be made in writing to the Awards Clerk, University Secretariat, The Old Schools, Cambridge CB2 1TN and should contain a statement of qualification and details of the course of study or research to be undertaken by the applicant. Each applicant should give the names of not more than three referees whom they have asked to send letters of recommendation direct to the Registrary at the above address by the closing date for applications of 24 October 2003.
