Her Majesty the Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Professor Sir Martin Rees, Royal Society Research Professor of Cosmology and Astrophysics and Astronomer Royal, as Master of Trinity College, in succession to Professor Sen, who will retire from office on 14 January 2004.
