The Trust is launching a Support Scheme for people with disabilities studying in Cambridge, to give them the opportunity to live independently in college or on campus. The part-time (0.4) Co-ordinator will play a key role in establishing and maintaining this new scheme. The post-holder will provide support for students to develop care packages, recruit the support needed, manage carers, and monitor the scheme for the duration of the students' course.
We are looking for someone with a social work background and experience of working with young people with physical disabilities/chronic illnesses. The post-holder will be a self-starter, managing the project and working with universities, care agencies, social services, and students. The post could be employed or self-employed with a salary up to £26,500 pro rata or equivalent if self employed.
