Honorary Doctorates 2004: Notice

Honorary Doctorates are normally conferred on persons of distinction once a year at a Congregation held in June. Proposals are made by the University Council, usually in the Lent Term. The Council are advised by a Committee which considers the suggestions made to it during the Michaelmas Term.

Suggestions are invited now for persons to be considered for Honorary Doctorates for 2004. It would be very helpful if they could be received by 1 October 2003 or as soon as possible thereafter. They should be sent in writing to Dr A. Clark, Secretary of the Honorary Degree Committee, University Offices, The Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TN (fax 01223 332332, e-mail aef30@cam.ac.uk).
