Five posts of Assistant Treasurer in the Finance Division of the University Offices

Five important new posts have been created to support and develop financial planning, analysis, and information within the Schools of the University.

The roles of the post-holders will entail the following: development of improved financial information to support the Councils of the Schools; preparation and presentation of planning and budgetary information; assisting academic Departments and supporting them with financial analysis, with advice on financial processes and procedures; acting as conduit between the Schools and the Finance Division.

Candidates will be qualified accountants with a minimum of four years' experience gained within a medium or large organization; will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to interpret and communicate financial information to non-finance professionals; and will have the maturity, integrity, and stature to liaise and influence at the highest level.

Graduate Admissions Officer in the Board of Graduate Studies

Applications are invited for a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension, for the office of Graduate Admissions Officer in the office of the Board of Graduate Studies to take up appointment on 1 August 2003 or as soon as possible thereafter.

An experienced administrator is sought to lead the University's graduate admissions team. Candidates should be educated to degree level, have proven ability to manage complex processes and a busy team, and be equipped to lead the office in the transition to fully electronic admissions and a new student record system. This is a two-year fixed-term post (in the first instance).
