With effect from 1 October 2003

The date of submission of the dissertation and essays and the titles of Papers A3 and C3 have been amended as set out below.

Regulation 16(c).

By replacing in the first sentence the words 'so as to arrive not later than the eighth day of the Full Term' by the words 'so as to arrive not later than the third Friday of the Easter Term'.

Regulation 18.

By amending the titles of Paper A3 (The birth of Christianity) and Paper C3 (Jesus and early Christology) so as to read:

Paper A3. From Bethlehem to Rome: Luke - Acts and the origins of Christianity.
Paper C3. Jesus and Christology.

Regulation 20.

By replacing in the final sentence the words 'so as to arrive not later than the division of the Easter Term' by the words 'so that the first essay arrives not later than the first Friday of the Easter Term and the second essay not later than the third Friday of the Easter Term'.

With effect from the same date

The detail for Papers A3 and A4 has been amended as set out below. The Faculty Board also give notice that Paper D2(g) (Imagination) will not be available in 2003-04.

By amending the detail for Papers A3 and A4 so as to read:

Paper A3. From Bethlehem to Rome: Luke - Acts and the origins of Christianity

This paper introduces students to two significant New Testament writings. It will focus on Luke's presentation of the life of Jesus and of the early decades of the church. These writings include varied material, the study of which raises central historical, theological, and literary issues.

Paper A4. Christianity and the transformation of culture

This paper will consider key periods and issues in the establishment and expansion of Christianity and its interaction with non-Christian cultures. The paper will be based on three topics, announced annually by the Board.
