Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos

With effect from 1 October 2004

The Schedules to the regulations have been amended as follows (see also Reporter, p. 974):

SCHEDULE B

Russian

Paper Ru. 7 (Russian literature, since 1883) has been replaced by a paper entitled 'Russian culture after 1880'. The paper may no longer be replaced by a portfolio of essays under Regulation 23 of the Tripos.

SCHEDULE 1b

By removing the dagger symbol from Paper Ru. 7.

The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages give notice that, following the change in title of this paper, their announcement of the prescribed texts and periods for Part II of the Tripos in 2005 (Reporter, p. 911) has been amended so that the detail for Paper Ru. 7 reads as follows:

Ru. 7. Russian culture after 1880

Section A: Mikhail Bulgakov, Мастер и Маргарита; Isaak Babel, Конаркия.

Section B: A number of topics will be notified by the Department of Russian. Reading lists for this paper are also available from the Department.
