REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

English Tripos, Part II

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 302)

With effect from 1 October 2004

The regulations for Part II of the English Tripos have been amended to take account of recent changes in the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos (see Reporter, p. 974) as follows:

Regulation 18.

By replacing Papers 23 and 24 with the following:

Paper 23. French literature, visual culture, thought, and history, from 1890-1958 (Paper Fr. 10 of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos).

Paper 24. Literature, visual culture, thought, and history in the French speaking world, since 1945 (Paper Fr. 11 of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos).

Regulation 19.

By amending proviso (ii) by inserting after the words 'shall not offer' the words 'both Paper 9 and either Paper 10 or Paper 11; nor'.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 306)

With effect from 1 October 2003

Paper 11. American literature

By replacing the first two sentences so as to read:

The subject covered by this paper is American literature, life, and thought, with special reference to the period from 1820 to the present day.
