Please note that a special beginning of term seminar entitled Accelerated time and the modernity of Goethe (From Faust to the Internet), will be given by Dr Manfred Osten, Secretary General of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Bonn and author of the recently published 'Alles veloziferisch' oder Goethes Entdeckung der Langsamkeit, in the Clare Hall Meeting Room (in the main College building, off Grange Road behind the Cambridge University Library) on Friday, 3 October 2003, at 2.15 pm. Dr Osten has also offered to answer questions about the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung awards scheme (see also http://www.humboldt-foundation.de). All are welcome.
