Appointments, grants of title, and reappointments

The following appointments, grants of title, and reappointments have been made:

Appointments

University Lecturer

Law. Dr Guglielmo Verdirame, Laurea in Giurisprudenza, Bologna, LL.M., London, Ph.D., London School of Economics and Political Science, appointed from 1 September 2003 for three years.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Finance Division). Mrs Gina Kim Arnold appointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 9 June 2003 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Clinical Medicine. Dr Christian Schwarzbauer has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 May 2003 for a further two years.

Experimental Psychology. Dr Hannah Elizabeth Smithson, M.A., Ph.D., DOW, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 May 2003 for two years.

Reappointments

University Lecturers

Chemical Engineering. Dr Clemens Friedrich Kaminski, R, reappointed from 1 January 2004 until the retiring age.

Computer Laboratory. Dr Gavin Mark Bierman, JN, Dr Ann Alicia Copestake, W, and Dr Marcelo Pablo Fiore, CHR, reappointed from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.

Engineering. Dr Thierry Alboussière, M, and Dr Ian James Wassell reappointed from 1 January 2004 until the retiring age.

Chairman

Council of the School of the Biological Sciences. Professor Anthony Charles Minson, W, reappointed from 1 January 2003 for two years.

Director

African Studies. Dr Laud Ato Quayson, PEM, reappointed from 1 October 2003 for five years.

Acting Director

Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. Dr Charles Peter Melville, PEM, reappointed from 1 April 2003 until 30 September 2003.
