REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Archaeological and Anthropological Tripos, Part IIA and Part IIB

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 235)

With effect from 1 October 2003

Regulation 19(c).

By replacing in line 2 the words 'Essays shall not exceed 8,000 words in length, including' by the words 'Essays shall not exceed 8,000 words in length, excluding', and by replacing in the penultimate line the words 'not later than the division of the Easter Term' by the words 'not later than one week before the division of the Easter Term'.

Regulation 20(d).

By amending the first sentence so as to read:

A dissertation shall be submitted through the candidate's Director of Studies so as to reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board not later than the following dates:

(i) for a dissertation submitted under Regulation 17(a)(iii) or 17(c)(iii)1, the division of the Easter Term in which the examination is held;
(ii) for a dissertation submitted under Regulation 17(b)(ii)2, one week before the division of the Easter Term in which the examination is held.

1 i.e. a dissertation submitted by candidates for Part IIB in Archaeology or Social Anthropology.

2 i.e. a dissertation submitted by candidates for Part IIB in Biological Anthropology.
