Election, appointments, and reappointments

The following election, appointments, and reappointments have been made:

Election

Professor Daniel T. Rodgers, B.A., B.Sc., Brown, Ph.D., Yale, Henry Charles Lea Professor of History at Princeton University, elected Pitt Professor of American History and Institutions for 2003-04, from 1 October 2003 until 30 September 2004.

Appointments

University Lecturers

English. Dr Peter Leslie de Bolla, M.A., Ph.D., K, appointed from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.

Judge Institute of Management Studies. Dr Matthias Holweg, M.Sc., Buckingham, Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur, Wedel, Germany, Ph.D., Wales, appointed from 1 September 2003 for three years. Dr Mark Edmondus Jan de Rond, M.B.A., Andrews, Michigan, D.Phil., Oxford, and Dr Paul Antony Kattuman, M.Phil., Ph.D., CC, B.A., M.A., Calicut, Kerala, India, appointed from 1 October 2003 for three years.

Surgery. Mr John Daniel Kelly, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., M.D., Queen's University of Belfast, FRCS, appointed from 1 November 2002 for five years.

University Assistant Lecturer

Italian. Dr Abigail Sarah Brundin, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., CTH, appointed from 1 October 2003 for three years.

Associate Lecturer

Clinical Medicine. Dr Alasdair Parker, M.B., B.S., M.D., London, MRCP, appointed from 1 April 2003 for five years.

Departmental Secretaries

Pathology. Dr John Andrew Dalton, B.Sc., City of London Polytechnic, Ph.D., Bristol, appointed Departmental Secretary, Grade B, from 1 May 2003 until the retiring age.

Physics. Mr Matthew Burgess, B.Sc., Warwick, appointed Departmental Secretary, Grade B, from 1 May 2003 until the retiring age.

Administrative Officers

University Offices (Academic Division). Mr Simon Andrew Virr, M.Sci., Durham, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade I, from 1 June 2003 until the retiring age, with duties in the Department of Geography.

University Offices (Research Services Division). Mr Keith James Greyson, MICM, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 1 April 2003 until the retiring age.

Computer Officer

Clinical Medicine. Mr Jonathan Rowan Wilson, B.Sc., Dundee, appointed Computer Officer, Grade III, from 4 November 2002 until the retiring age.

Reappointments

English. Dr Christopher David Cannon, PEM, reappointed from 1 January 2004 until the retiring age.

Pathology. Dr Hugh Thomson Reyburn, F, reappointed from 1 April 2003 until the retiring age.

English. Dr Priyamvada Gopal, CHU, reappointed from 1 January 2004 for two years.

Clinical Medicine. Dr Ruth Mary Leigh Warren, G, reappointed from 1 April 2003 for five years.

Pathology. Dr Derek Frederick John Brown and Dr Hugo Anthony Ludlam reappointed from 1 October 2003 for five years.
