The following election, appointments, grants of title, and reappointments have been made:

Election

Mr Alan John Warren, Ph.D., CAI, B.Sc., M.B., Ch.B., Glasgow, MRCP, MRCPath, MRC Clinical Scientist Fellow, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, elected Professor of Haematology from 1 October 2003.

Pharmacology. Dr Zoltán Sarnyai, M.D., Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University, Szeged, Hungary, Ph.D., University of Szeged School of Medicine, Szeged, Hungary, appointed from 1 June 2003 for five years.

Computer Officer

Computing Service. Mr Anton Ivanov Altaparmakov, B.A., CHR, appointed Computer Officer, Grade II, from 1 April 2003 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Clinical Medicine. Dr Peter Robert Stewart Brinsden has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 June 2003 for a further two years. Dr Piers Emson has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 May 2003 for a further two years. Dr Andrew Kenneth Trull, B.Sc., Hull, Ph.D., London, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 March 2003 for two years.

Law. Professor Andrew Perry Simester, B.Com., LL.B., Auckland, D.Phil., Oxford, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2002 for one year.
