Appointments, grants of title, and reappointments

The following appointments, grants of title, and reappointments have been made:

Appointments

University Lecturers

Engineering. Dr Matthew Juniper, M.A., M.Eng., JN, D.E.A., Ph.D., Ecole Centrale de Paris, appointed from 1 January 2003 for five years. Dr Joan Lasenby, M.A., P.G.C.E., Ph.D., T, appointed from 1 October 2003 for five years.

University Assistant Lecturer

Law. Ms Antje Luise Pedain, LC, M.Jur., Oxford, appointed from 1 April 2003 for three years.

Director of Medical Education

Clinical Medicine. Dr Diana Frances Wood, M.B., Ch.B., M.D., Birmingham, MRCP, FRCP, appointed from 1 May 2003 for five years.

Associate Lecturer

Pathology. Mr Hamid Jalal, M.B.B.S., Punjab, Ph.D., Bristol, M.Sc., London, MRCPath, appointed from 1 January 2003 for five years.

Deputy Head of Department

Computer Laboratory. Dr Peter Robinson, CAI, appointed from 1 October 2003 for three years.

Assistant Treasurer

University Offices (Finance Division). Mrs Bernadette Joan McLellan, B.A., Sheffield Hallam, appointed from 3 March 2003 until the retiring age.

Assistant Registrary

University Offices (Academic Division). Mr Julian Graham Evans, B.Sc., East Anglia, appointed from 1 May 2003 until the retiring age.

Departmental Secretary

Chemical Engineering. Dr Peter James Foreman, B.Sc., Ph.D., Leeds, MRSC, appointed Departmental Secretary, Grade C, from 1 March 2003 until the retiring age.

Design Engineer

Engineering. Mr Stephen Paul Tebboth, B.Sc., Hatfield Polytechnic, appointed from 10 March 2003 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Dr Sophia Demoulini, DOW, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2003 for a further two years.

Clinical Medicine. Dr Marek Czosnyka has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 June 2003 for a further two years.

Experimental Psychology. Dr José Ignacio Alcántara, B.Sc., Ph.D., Melbourne, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2003 for two years.

Social and Political Sciences. Dr Ines Christine Molinaro, B.A., Concordia University, Montreal, M.A., Ph.D., Notre Dame, Indiana, Dr Véronique Marianne Mottier, Ph.D., JE, B.A. (Pol. Sci.), B. A. (Soc.), M.A., Geneva, Mr Alan Shipman, M.A., JE, M.Phil., Oxford, Dr Nuri Tinaz, B.A., M.A., Dokuz Eylül, Turkey, M.A., London, Ph.D., Warwick have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2002 for one year.

Medical Genetics. Dr Frances Lucy Raymond, JN, reappointed from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.

Social and Political Sciences. Dr Darin Thompson Weinberg, K, reappointed from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.

Assistant Treasurer

University Offices (Finance Division). Mr Philip Andrew Gooding reappointed from 24 August 2003 until the retiring age.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Finance Division). Mr Andrew John McDonald reappointed Administrative Officer, Grade I, from 1 April 2003 until the retiring age.

General Manager

University Centre. Mr Thomas James Walston, DOW, reappointed from 11 March 2003 until the retiring age.
