Chief Executive, Cambridge ESOL: Notice

Cambridge ESOL is a division of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). The role of the Chief Executive of ESOL is a pivotal one, both in relation to the ESOL business, and to the UCLES Group as a whole. The post-holder is accountable for the financial and business performance of ESOL, and, equally important, the maintenance of the highest educational standards within English Language assessment. As a member of the UCLES Group Corporate Board the post-holder will also play an active part in the development and implementation of corporate strategy.

The post-holder will have specialist expertise in ESOL and in assessment, together with significant experience at a senior level in an organization delivering educational or assessment services internationally. The post-holder will have sound commercial judgement, and a commitment to excellence in assessment practice. The post-holder's leadership and communication skills will be proven, and he/she will be able to contribute effectively at Corporate Board level.
