St John's College

COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ECONOMICS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified men and women for a fixed-term College Stipendiary Lectureship in Economics, with effect from 1 October 2003. The Lectureship will be for one year in the first instance, with a possibility of renewal for up to two further years; and will require up to six hours' teaching a week during term. Applicants should be able to teach the University curriculum to first-year undergraduates, and the core papers to second-years. Information on the curriculum may be found at http://www.economics.ox.ac.uk/. The Lecturer will also be expected to share pastoral duties and to participate in the undergraduate admissions process.

The salary will be £11,096 and will be subject to revision in line with any general salary increases. The Lecturer will have the right to three lunches and two dinners a week in the Senior Common Room, to a shared teaching room. and to certain College benefits and allowances.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held during the week commencing 5 May 2003.
