St Catharine's College

MICHAEL AND MORVEN HELLER RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN COMPUTING SCIENCE

Applications are invited for the aforementioned Fellowship, tenable for three years from 1 October 2003, at St Catharine's College. Candidates should normally have completed a doctorate in Computer Science or another appropriate subject. The Fellow will carry out research that enhances the application of theoretical computer science to the design and engineering of computer and communication systems and/or applications. The appointee will be invited to work in the University's Computer Laboratory and her/his research should preferably relate to current work in that Laboratory. The Fellow may also be requested to provide tutorial teaching to appropriate undergraduates in the College (up to a maximum of six hours a week) and/or to assist in their Direction of Studies. Both will be remunerated separately.

The stipend of the Fellow will be on the College's Research Fellowship scale of £13,067 to £14,936 at a point determined according to experience; in addition, he or she will enjoy the statutory privileges of Fellows of the College, but not including membership of the Governing Body.
