Election, appointments, grants of title, and reappointments

The following election, appointments, grants of title, and reappointments have been made:

Election

Professor Franco Brezzi, B.Sc., Pavia, Director of the Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche del C.N.R., Professor in the Dipartimento di Matematica, Università di Pavia, has been elected Rothschild Visiting Professor from 1 April 2003 until 30 April 2003, assigned to the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences.

University Assistant Lecturer

English. Dr Sarah Meer, M.A., Ph.D., SE, appointed from 1 October 2003 for three years.

Departmental Secretary

Clinical Medicine. Ms Sarah Smith, B.A., Kent, appointed Departmental Secretary, Grade B, from 1 February 2003 for three years.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Academic Division). Mrs Ruth Louise Gray, B.A., Queen's, Belfast, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade I, from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age.

Computer Officers

Fitzwilliam Museum. Mr David W. Shaw, B.Sc., Anglia Polytechnic, appointed Computer Officer, Grade I, from 1 January 2003 for five years.

University Offices (Management Information Services Division). Mr Mark Neal appointed Computer Officer, Grade III, from 21 October 2002 for three years. Mrs Caroline Jane Efstathiou appointed Computer Officer, Grade IV, from 1 January 2003 for five years.

Careers Adviser

Careers Service. Ms Sally Fiona Todd, B.Sc., York, M.Sc., Birmingham, appointed from 11 February 2003 until the retiring age.

Public Health and Primary Care. Dr John Arthur Benson reappointed from 1 June 2003 until the retiring age. Dr Simon James Griffin reappointed from 1 April 2003 until the retiring age.

Clinical Lecturers

Psychiatry. Dr Emma Jane Weisblatt, SID, reappointed from 1 February 2003 for two years.

Surgery. Mr Pawanjit Singh Minhas reappointed from 1 March 2003 for two years.

University Assistant Lecturer

English. Dr Gavin Robert Alexander, CHR, reappointed from 1 October 2003 for two years.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Academic Division). Mrs Linda Jane Whitebread reappointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 1 January 2003 until 30 June 2003.

Director of Studies

Public Health and Primary Care. Dr John Rodham Perry reappointed Director of Studies in General Practice from 1 June 2003 for five years.

Senior Technical Officer

Earth Sciences. Dr Mark Andrew Hallworth reappointed from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age.

Amendment

The following entry published in the 5 February 2003 edition of the Reporter did not cite Dr Van Houten's College affiliation. The entry should therefore read as follows:
