Balfour Studentship: Notice

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 730)

The Managers of the Balfour Fund invite applications for a Studentship leading to the degree of Ph.D. in the Department of Zoology to start in October 2003. Funding for University Composition Fees will be at the home rate. The research study could be in any area currently being pursued with the Department.

The Studentship is primarily intended for those who, for whatever reason, are not eligible for fully funded Studentships from other sources such as those offered by UK Research Councils and the University of Cambridge.

More detailed information about the research interests of the Department may be found on the Department's Web page at http://www.zoo.cam.ac.uk/ and in the Postgraduate Training booklet, accessible via the Web, or from Linda Wheatley, Graduate Admissions Secretary, Department of Zoology, Downing Street, Cambridge, CB2 3EJ (tel. 01223 336647, e-mail l.wheatley@zoo.cam.ac.uk).

Application forms are contained in the University Graduate Studies Prospectus, which may be ordered online at http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/univ/gsprospectus/gsrequest.html. Formal applications should be submitted by 28 February 2003 at the latest.
